Chia Citrus Salad

     Chia seeds are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. They’re loaded with fiber, protein,omega-3 fatty acids and various essential micronutrients. Chia seeds were an important food for the Aztecs and Mayans back in the day.They prized them for their ability to provide sustainable energy. In fact, “chia” is the ancient Mayan word for “strength.” Therefore, this salad will give you all the strength, energy and vitality to get through your day with clear mind and body. This is a great break option and perfect for a midday snack when you feel sleepy and low on energy to give you the boost you need to complete your day.



Chia Citrus Salad
 2 Tangerines peeled

7- 9 Strawberries sliced 

1 handful of red grapes 

1 handful of green grapes

1 heaping tablespoon of chia "strength" seeds

1 half of fresh squeezed lime juice

1 tablespoon of orange juice

Toss all your ingredients in the lime and orange juice. Serve chilled.
