Feathers are showing up everywhere this season on clothes, shoes. handbags and even in hair!
Fly ties normally used to bait fish are all the craze for 2011. They are in salons all over the country and even on celebrities such as Steven Tyler and the super hot Ke$ha.
Rooster feathers used to trap fish have somehow found their way in the heads of young girls, housewives and hairstylists alike.
Birds use these feathers to attract their mates so maybe this trend is on to something good....Ha!
Feather extensions are in plenty demand and since this latest must have accessory has hit the streets prices have went from about 35 bucks to now an easy 300 for a pack of the hair pieces.
I dont know how I feel about this trend but it seems to be here to stay for at least the rest of the summer.
Maybe I will give it a try....
Feathers are also making their statement on the runway. Designers such as Burberry. Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen have all used feathers on their recent collections.
