Miss Piggy and MAC cosmetics join forces!!!!!

MAC has debuted a Miss Piggy themed collection. The collection includes a pink eye shadow, black eyeliner and false lashes (Luxury).

The eyeshadow is a light blue frosty pink. I love it beacuse it is similar to my favorite MAC lipstick Snob. The black liner comes in Rapidblack which has a superfine felt tip applicator brush that will guarantee precison. And last but certainly not least the lashes!!! The lashes are super full and dramatic just like Miss Piggy herself.

The line launches Nov 14th. Get it while you can .

Best Spanish food in NYC

       I love to eat. My favorite thing to do is walk into a new establishment and see what they have to offer me. Recently I have been craving spanish food and here are my top 3 favorite spots. I found one in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island so just about everyone in the tristate area can enjoy:)

      Manhattan: While I attended beauty school I used to go and eat lunch with at least 3 to 5 people, with that being said we always tried to find a place that served large portions with a decent sitting area and not at all pricey. Being that we were in the heart of NYC that was hard to find. Then we found Tina's Cuban Cuisine our lunch time quota had been met. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of my favorite foods and the cosy atmosphere that Tina's provided. Roasted chicken, oxtail and delicious hearty soups are some of my go to orders when I step inside and if your lucky enough to stop by at lunch time you can get the lunch special which never ran me more than 10 bucks. The servings are hefty and tasty as can be so if your in the city give it a try. I believe they have three locations in the city but I frequent the one in herald square and I have not been disappointed since.

    Queens: I have a problem with eating way after 10pm for some reason I am always driving around late night looking for a full meal.  Thank goodness for Elena's located in Jamaica Queens they are open late not sure the exact time but I recall walking in there at 11:30 and it being super crowded and the food being super tasty. I believe they serve colombian food  but whatever it is, its delicious and inexpensive my two favorite things. I always order the shrimps in garlic sauce with  rice and beans. Alongside it I order  maduros and an avocado salad that has a homemade salad dressing that I really enjoy. So if  you are ever in the area it is definitely worth the stop you wont be disappointed.

   Long Island:  Out of all the restaurants that I mentioned Pollos a la Brasa is the one I frequent the most. Its located in Valley Stream Long Island  and if you are not from there its worth the trip anyway. Its a small establishment   but I do not mind because the food always taste fresh and is made to order. The food is not sitting in heating pans all day like most spanish food places so I think thats why they taste super good and flavorful.  I order everything off the menu but the fried shrimp and fried yuca are my ultimate favorite. The rice is really good also and the beef soup is amazing.  So if and when you get the chance do yourself the favor and  give this place a try.

Ok now I'm hungry and I will be hitting up one of these spots to feed my hunger. Do all things luxury my beauties and enjoy your meal!!!!!!

Extensions, clutches dresses!!! Feathers galore!!! Gimme more

Feathers are showing up everywhere this season on clothes, shoes. handbags and even in hair! 

Fly ties normally used to bait fish are all the craze for 2011. They are in salons all over the country and even on celebrities such as Steven Tyler and the super hot Ke$ha. 

Rooster feathers used to trap fish have somehow found their way in the heads of young girls, housewives and hairstylists alike.

Birds use these feathers to attract their mates so maybe this trend is on to something good....Ha!

Feather extensions are in plenty demand and since this latest must have accessory has hit the streets prices have went from about 35 bucks to now an easy 300 for a pack of the hair pieces.

I dont know how I feel about this trend but it seems to be here to stay for at least  the rest of the summer.

 Maybe  I will give it a try....

Feathers are also making their statement on the runway. Designers such as Burberry. Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen have all used feathers on their recent collections.

Question of the Day?

If you had to be on a desert island and could only bring one makeup product. What would it be? And why?

HOMEADE FACIAL MASKS .....YAY!!!!!

Smooth tight skin is beneficial in maintaining a youthful appearance.  This easy to make facial mask will leave your face feeling flawless.

Start  with a banana, 1 tsp olive oil, one tea bag of chamomile tea, about a handful of oatmeal ,one egg white and 1tbsp of honey.

Brew the tea bag of chamomile and let chill. THIS IS CALMING TO THE SKIN. Fabulous for sensitive skin.

Mash the banana until it is a creamy consistency then stir in the olive oil and oats. THE BANANA HELPS WITH WRINKLES AND DRYNESS AS DOES THE OLIVE OIL. THE OATS HELP REDUCE REDNESS AND PUFFINESS.

Separate one egg white and mix with honey.  THE EGG WILL HELP WITH TIGTENING THE SKIN AND THE HONEY IS A NATURAL ANTIBACTERIAL PRODUCT.

Add the chilled tea, egg and honey to the banana mixture and VOILA!!!!

 I LEAVE THIS MIXTURE ON FOR 15 MINS AND APPLY IT ABOUT ONCE A MONTH YOU WILL QUICKLY FALL IN LOVE WITH THE INSTANT RESULTS THIS MASK DELIVERS. ENJOY!!!!!

ONE DAY VS. TODAY

I have an obsession with food makeup and SHOES!!!!! They are the three things I would need on a desert island :). With that being said I  have defintely spent my last couple of dollars on a killer pair of pumps that I know would last me more than one season or at least turn enough heads in one night to make it all worth it. SOOOO I have decided to start a new guide to whats hot and whats not and I am calling it TODAY VS. ONE DAY. I will show shoes and various accessories that we can all afford someday soon and right next to it afforable shoes that can be your new bff this weekend.   I love it the stiletto is fierce and the pink tames it. I threw in the black and white dots for easter.

SPF...DONT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT

No matter what your skin tone protection from the sun is necessary to maintain healthy skin. Banish the myth that dark skin doesnt need spf. If you want to prevent wrinkles and age spots use a product with at least spf 15 before leaving the house and this applies all year round not just summer months. Harmful UV rays can still reach your skin during the colder seasons. Moisture is also the key to fabulous skin so look for a moisturizer that contains an spf and you will be combating the two main causes to aging; sun exposure and lack of moisture.
